What I am Not:

  • A Doctor

I am trained to diagnose nutrition-related problems NOT medical conditions.  I am also licensed to treat nutrition-related issues through food intake and vitamin and mineral supplementation, NOT through prescribed or over the counter medications.  Please speak with your doctor or physician with any medical related concerns that you have prior to seeing me.

  • A Trained Chef or a Personal Chef

HAVE NOT attended culinary school.  I can show you how to make my healthy version of bananas foster, but I cannot flambe anything.  I also cannot come to your house and prepare your meals for the week, but I can offer you recipes, and meal planning tools to get you started.

  • A  Miracle Worker or Magician

When you sign up for a nutrition counseling session, a cooking lesson, or kitchen restocking, I will give you the TOOLS to help you reach your goals.  Once you leave our session, it is up to you to make the changes.  I cannot loose weight, make everyday food choices, or exercise for you.

Please be mindful that nutrition related conditions are multi-faceted, and therefore there are many approaches to treating your conditions.  I cannot guarantee weight loss, a cure for any current conditions, or prevention of any future disease.  I can only guarantee that I will take responsible action to help you reach your goals and treat any nutrition related conditions appropriately and to the best of my ability.

Everybody’s body works differently and responds differently.  Collaboratively we can figure out what works best for you, but it may require trial and error, as your food choices, lifestyle, stress levels, medications, relationships, and other factors can play into how your body responds to a particular dietary change.  I cannot control or be held responsible for any side unforeseen effects that may occur as a result of your dietary changes.

  • A Mind Reader

If you did not include certain medical conditions, family history, pertinent labs, medications, supplements, or any information that is remotely related to your health in your initial intake form, I cannot be expected to know that information.  You are responsible for fully disclosing any health or nutrition related information, along with any new health or nutrition related information that comes up during your time as a client with me.

I also ask that you please fully disclose any information on your current diet, so I best know how to help you.

  • The Food Police

I have no interest in scolding you for making a less-than-perfect food choice.  I am here to help you achieve your health and wellness goals, not punish you for slipping up.  We’re all human, we all have good days and bad days.  The more open you are with me, the better I can help you.
